The second piece i made in the Monochromasters series.
I have always strongly admired the black square for its minimalism, matter-of-factness and emotional impact and gravitas. I wanted to see what my Monochromasters concept would do with such a picture.
It produced an almost perfect 50% grey square,
Which is terrifying in its own way, and minimal, and funny. I also liked how the square sits in the A0 containing form.
Printed 4/0 CMYK on A0 – 840 x 1189 mm paper 250 g/m² satinated MC paper. Printed on a Océ Colorado UV ink commercial printer. Matt laminated on printed side.
Signed on the back side. Edition of 1.
