After making Monochromaster versions of all paintings by Vermeer based on the website the Rijksmuseum build for the Vermeer exhibition, I wanted to make a work showcasing the specific works on view in that exhibition.
For the background I wanted to match the color of the actual exhibition in the Rijksmuseum. But it is surprisingly difficult to determine the right color from the many pictures of the exhibition that are available on the web:

All these backgrounds look remarkably like some of the Monochromaster versions of the paintings. Because I did not want any of the Monochromasters to disappear against the backdrop I chose a median grey (#666666) as the background color.
These are the Monochromaster versions of all the paintings that are on view at the Rijksmuseum exhibition in the order they are mentioned on the accompanying ‘on view‘ webpage. Which I suspect is also the order in which they can hung in the exhibition. But I would really like a chance to see this for myself by actually visiting the exhibition. Unfortunately the exhibition is completely sold out.

My hope is that someone at the Rijksmuseum sees this post, likes what I am doing and will somehow grant me access to the exhibition sometime in the remaining weeks. If you can get me tickets or other sorts of access, HMU.
